Spent half my morning trying to buy kanamycin. Every single US site that used to sell Aqua-Mox or Seachem Kanaplex now either wants a vet prescription or is just out of stock. Called two vets, first one quoted $140 just for a consult and the second flat out said they don't do fish. Love that.
So I went the overseas route like I used to. Order got flagged and seized at customs, got the little love letter and everything. Money gone. Then my bank started declining the card on the next attempt because apparently a fish supply site in Asia looks sketchy to their fraud algorithm. Fun stuff.
I've seen people mention crypto payments on some of these sites but I'm not about to open a Coinbase account just to treat fin rot. Or maybe I am, I don't know. I'm tired.
For reference this is the same mess I ran into in where to get koi fin rot meds, and nothing has gotten better since. Actually feels worse now.
So what are you all actually doing? Local club hookups? Hiding a stash? Vet that doesn't charge like a divorce lawyer? Genuinely asking because my QT tank is one sick fish away from being useless.
